The three main goals of the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) are:
to advance the application of mathematics and computational science to engineering, industry, science and society;
The Institute of Mathematics and its Applications (IMA) is the Professional and Learned Society for Mathematics in the United Kingdom. The IMA:
is a charitable, not for profit organisation governed by Royal Charter, dedicated to promoting mathematics for the benefit of society, and hence the welfare of business and technology for employers, employees and clients;
